What does your product or solution do, and what makes it unique?
At LOXO, we bring autonomy to urban delivery with our LOXO Digital Driver and strategic partnerships, enabling safer, more efficient logistics, reducing costs, increasing flexibility, and driving sustainable business growth. We are currently pioneering European autonomous urban logistics.

What trend or shift in your industry is currently creating the biggest opportunity for you?
Autonomous driving is a key priority for the European Commission, driving strong engagement from both industry and public authorities. This focus is leading to more harmonized regulatory frameworks for autonomous vehicles, as well as increased momentum in the development and deployment of critical autonomous-driving technologies and components.

How did the idea for your startup originate?
When autonomous technology entered the Swiss market in 2016, our founding team was already actively involved, supporting the industry in meeting the required functional safety standards. This engagement initiated a research program at the engineering school focused on defining what truly functional-safe autonomous software should look like.

After two years of research and development, the resulting solution was not only exceptionally safe but also demonstrably more advanced than the average offerings available on the market at that time. This work laid the foundation for the launch of LOXO.

Which market are you addressing, and what potential do you see for your startup in that market?
Our primary focus is the retail, postal, and parcel delivery sectors. More broadly, we address the urban transportation market: any logistics-related movement within a city has the potential to be automated using our technology.

What impact do you want your technology to have five years from now?
We already see tangible impact for our customers today, including reduced CO2 emissions and increased operational efficiency, leading to lower daily operating costs. Looking ahead, we believe that within the next five years our technology can contribute to more livable cities while significantly improving logistics efficiency and margins.

What major challenges have you faced so far?
The greatest challenge remains start-up financing. European funding mechanisms tend to be more risk-averse than their counterparts in the United States and Asia. Autonomous driving is a high-risk, capital-intensive domain, which does not always align well with the investment profiles and risk appetite of many European venture capital firms.

What motivates you on tough days?
We are writing history by doing something that very few people attempt, and even fewer truly understand. It represents engineering excellence at its highest level. As an engineer, I am living my dream: bringing our work to society and creating a tangible, lasting impact.

Why did you decide to join the Venture Leaders Roadshow, and what are you most excited about?
First, it represents a significant recognition from leading industrial executives who evaluated us as part of this group. In addition, the opportunity to participate in a roadshow alongside peer entrepreneurs is invaluable. Our visibility also increases substantially, as we are positioned within a group of outstanding entrepreneurs supported by highly respected experts.
